Emergency Medical Technician

Course Requirements:


 Mandatory orientation & CPR date on the first night of class: August 26 at 5:00PM


A clean background check is mandatory for course registration.

Proof of Hepatitis B immunization, annual flu vaccination, and a current negative TB skin test are required.

Course Details:

In-class hours: 160

Clinical hours: 10 Patient Contacts (plus additional study time)

Some content is completed online via Canvas with assignments due throughout the course.

Students should plan to dedicate significant time outside of class for studying, completing assignments, and clinical skills.

Tuition & Fees:

Tuition: $1,215 (plus web fees). Tuition includes:

Online course access

A $100 down payment (plus web fees) is required to hold your seat. This is non-refundable and applies to tuition.

Cognitive Exam Fee: $104 (paid to the National Registry when applying for the exam).

Additional Expectations:
This course requires extensive study time outside of class, including reading and completing assignments. Students must also meet the specific lab skills and assessments outlined by the State of Wisconsin to be successful. Clinical experiences will take place at Aurora Summit and area EMS departments.
